Laura Ramoso Tour 2026

Laura Ramoso, the eponymous project of the Canadian comedian and writer, navigates a unique space between sketch comedy and observational humor, often incorporating musical elements into her performances. While not a traditional band with a fixed lineup of instrumentalists, Ramoso’s live shows frequently feature pre-recorded tracks and occasional guest musicians who contribute to the comedic sketches. Her style is characterized by sharp wit, character-driven narratives, and a keen ear for social satire. The sonic landscape of her performances is eclectic, ranging from understated acoustic accompaniment to more vibrant, electronic-infused backdrops that underscore the absurdity or emotional depth of her comedic scenarios, always serving the narrative rather than dominating it.

Attending a Laura Ramoso live show offers a distinct experience, far removed from a typical concert. The stage production is generally minimalist, allowing Ramoso’s performance and character work to take center stage. Her setlists are fluid, often a curated collection of her most popular online sketches interspersed with new material, ensuring a fresh and engaging evening. The venues she typically plays are intimate theaters and comedy clubs, fostering a close connection between performer and audience. This scale allows for spontaneous interaction and an immersive atmosphere, where the nuances of her comedic timing and physical comedy are fully appreciated, making each show a unique, unrepeatable event.

Ramoso's career has seen several notable milestones that have solidified her reputation. Her viral character sketches, particularly those exploring specific cultural archetypes or generational experiences, have garnered widespread attention across social media platforms. These short-form comedic pieces, often featuring her playing multiple roles, have become a signature of her work. She has also successfully translated this online popularity into sold-out live performances across North America and beyond, demonstrating a significant crossover appeal. Her ability to craft relatable and often poignant comedic narratives has resonated with a broad audience, distinguishing her within the contemporary comedy landscape.

The audience for Laura Ramoso’s performances is diverse, encompassing fans of stand-up comedy, sketch comedy, and those who appreciate insightful social commentary delivered with humor. Her work particularly resonates with younger demographics who are familiar with internet culture and character-driven comedy, but her appeal extends to anyone who enjoys clever writing and masterful comedic acting. Listeners who appreciate artists who blend different creative disciplines, and who prioritize narrative and character development over traditional musical structures, tend to find her live shows particularly engaging. She sits comfortably within the burgeoning scene of online content creators who have successfully transitioned to live stage work.
